This versatile space - emerged as a sports haven - featured HQWS's prowess in design, development, programming and operation. The Expo Sports Arena was more than just a venue; it was a testament to the power of sports to unite and inspire.

With a lively programme of 80 events over 90 days, this dynamic space was a tribute to Expo 2020's overarching spirit to bridge cultures and disciplines.

The Sports Arena was meticulously curated by HQWS over months of dedicated effort, engineering an environment that transcended the ordinary. The venue played host to an array of sporting events, bringing together athletes, enthusiasts, and partners under the Expo banner. HQWS stood at the core of supporting these entities, deftly navigating multiple event setups and securing a cohesive experience.

The 5,300 m² Sports Arena embraced a diverse range of disciplines, each with its unique requirements. HQWS's commitment to innovation and seamless transitions ensured that the arena's layout and functionality flawlessly adapted to fluidly accommodate each sporting spectacle The design process consistently accounted for these swift transformations, with real-world execution witnessing event turnarounds in as little as 12 hours, involving the creation of grandstands and comprehensive sport facilities both behind-the-scenes (BOH) and front-of-house (FOH).
